Born in Atlanta, Sam moved to Hong Kong when he was twelve - just in time to see the Chinese Handover and the People's Liberation Army parade through his new hometown. Two years later, and after earning Eagle Scout, Sam was sent to boarding school near where an ancestor's house was used as a Confederate headquarters during the first raid which crossed the Mason-Dixon. Working as a riflery instructor in North Carolina in the summer, Sam attended Vanderbilt University, where he double majored while living the Greek life and helping co-run a single camera sitcom which was syndicated on a national college station.
A week after graduating, Sam had driven to Los Angeles to start working in television where he's maintained continuous employment ever since, first as a drama then comedy development assistant at ABC Studios, then moving to Desperate Housewives, where after a brief stint as a Writers PA, Sam was promoted to Writers' Assistant. He currently holds that title on the Nickelodeon show Supah Ninjas while training for a Taekwondo black belt test under an instructor who used to train Jason Bourne.
With over ten years experience writing screenplays, Sam has finished nearly twenty scripts, including six pilots. A semi-finalist for this past year's Disney-ABC Writing Program, IN THE MIX is his most recent project.
Sam would like to thank his friends and family for all their love and support - he couldn't do it without them.
