What's the story? What are the stakes? A guy we don't know getting mad? This felt like 20 minutes of character intros yet little to hold onto or care about the leads.
I think the characters and tone need to be rethought. The lead offers very little. It might be better if wife is the lead. I'd also just go full scale absurd. It seems stuck in the middle right now.
An interesting idea but I'd lose meta-stuff/comic references & focus on the group of low rent heroes trying to find a niche, pay rent, etc. More heart, less spoof. More Entourage, less Scary Movie
This is by far the best pilot I've read so far on this site. Pacing is crisp, jokes are good, and you have a good sense of where the first season is going and where the characters are headed.
