I write under my professional name GrinOlsson (or Grin Olsson). As an author and screenplay writer, I've written 11 books, a five science fiction series, 15 screenplays, as well as ghost and co-write books and screenplays for others that I feel deserve my talent.
I've written in the genre of true life, horror, comedy, romantic musical comedy, science fiction, children's stories, and adventure. I am an political activist with respect to basic freedoms. My dreams are to make movies and many times with the subliminal theme message, "to know the power of the word, called Peace". I was born in Seattle, Washington of Scottish-Canadian and Danish-American heritage in 1950. I was first published in the Seattle Post Intelligencer, - poetry - "Mountain Woman" and have been writing since I was 19 years old. I have written poetry in all genres from inspiration, epic, to romantic. From that beginning, I began writing books, GrinOlsson's Fairytales and WWIII - The Night the Angels Cry. Then, I decided to entertain both books, motion pictures, (freelancing) as well as speak my mind as a citizen at times being a political activist. In 2010 I received my first full length motion picture credit as a co-writer for a comedy, "Sex, Drugs, and Stu".
After High School graduation, in 1969 I volunteered for military service and was honorably discharged in 1973 from the United States Coast Guard.
Our family arrived in Washington State during the 1800's as one of the few real pioneer families, settling on a homestead in Issaquah, Washington. On my father's side, his great-uncle Issac Stevens was the first territorial governor of Washington State. On my mother's side, my grandfather John Archie (Lugs) Morrison was Senator Henry (Scoop) M. Jackson's first campaign manager - a senator who never lost a Washington State election.
