I really liked the premise of the movie and the characters were strong for the most part. There were a couple weak minor characters (the helpful blond bartender, primarily). In the final standoff, Owen's emotion was a bit lacking, which is understandable with the way his character looks, but it seemed like there should have been a bit more feeling.
When "Pants" is recording with the phone, it took a few seconds for me to realize that was what he was doing. Maybe a 3-second over-the-shoulder shot with the standoff showing on the phone's screen (when recording) could help the viewer understand that better. When "Black" and "Blue" put the explosives on the Prius, I thought it was a tracking device... right up until the moment it exploded. I realized my mistake the second the bomb exploded, but maybe showing a single shot with a blinking red dot and a few sticks of dynamite or a block of C4 stuck to the muffler would clear the confusion.
The end sequence with the changes in relationship status was perfect! I rarely laugh out loud, but I openly laughed at The Library Bar and the closing relationship status changes. "Pants" is a very well developed character, one of those characters that will be quoted all over facebook if/when this movie is released. Pretty much every scene Pants was in is perfect. The Library bar was the longest sequence where I liked every shot: Characters, lines, development, etc. with the exception of the helpful bartender. She just seemed bored and detached for some reason.
Even in the pre-release form that it's in, I would definitely watch "I Think My Facebook Friend is Dead" again! I'd even pay to go to a theater, and I wouldn't mind even buying tickets for a couple friends. I don't think a lot more budget should be spent on this movie. In some areas the low budget shows, but it looks good. I can see going back and turning the animation in to live footage, but I don't think this movie should have millions spent on more than finishing up what's in this cut.
