Alex Khanukhov is a Los Angeles-based composer and jazz pianist,
originally from Russia.
Alex studied jazz piano for 10 years with Legendary Terry Totter, and later
graduated from UCLA Film Scoring programm with honors. He has
also fully completed L.A. Conducting Salon with Eimear Noone.
Alex now have established himself as a “Go-to”music professional
for future films and a motion picture scene.
In 2007 he scored his first short film “ The Box, a metaphysical story,
directed by Ismael Corpas Moreno. The film has received high reviews
by the industry critics for Cinematography and music. Music was
scored in a record amount of time with a deadline approaching..
As a part of his musical achievements at UCLA, Alex was among
a few others, invited by a musician Norman Ludwin to a recording session
of the last episode of “ Lost”, scored by Michael Giacchino.
Alex also landed internship with Ed Kalnins, who was orchestrating
and a tech for Bruce Broughton, and gathered a first hand knowledge of
scoring for a major motion picture. He continues with his Film and TV projects, as well as arranging and orchestrating, he lives and works in the Los Angeles area.
