Synopsis: SYNOPSIS: Chiapas, Mexico 2000. Dr Anna Wilson, professor of ancient languages, reluctantly joins a team of researchers in Chiapas in search of a possible surviving Mayan Codex which deals with prophecies related to the end of a Mayan Baktun, December 2012 which calls for the beginning of a new Matriarchal era and the resurrection of an extended Mayan kingdom. Soon she discovers ruthless members of a drug cartel allied with Federales are conspiring to assure the Codex is not discovered to protect the existing boundaries. Overcoming a series of adventures and tribulations in remote tropical forests and Mayan sacred caves of Yucatan, Anna and her colleagues discover the Codex in one of the most spectacular Mayan ruins in Palenque. When confronted with a terrible choice, saving the Codex or the life of a lovely innocent young girl, she chooses to save the life of the child, while somewhat managing to extract the Codex form the wrong hands and letting chance determine the future of the Codex.
