The phenomenon of spontaneous human combustion brings an investigator to a small town; but, convincing the detective of the county sheriff's office of its reality is further complicated by additional fiery deaths.
Synopsis: Terry Graham learns of a mysterious death in the small town of Pardo, North Carolina. His interest in spontaneous human combustions is not appreciated by Detective Pat Miller, of the Tanasqui County Sheriff's Office. When more fiery deaths occur, Pat slowly becomes convinced that the phenomenon is real; and. finding the cause of the blazes and stopping them requires their combined efforts.

    Spontaneous human combustion has been a subject in stories by several famous authors. My story is based upon a number of deaths attributed to this phenomenon and offers some of my ideas about its cause and related phenomena.
