Synopsis: Meet the super mystery solver and mind “debaffler” DOOLEY DUNGARI. This dread locked and free spirited teenager represents a society of kid detectives solving crimes throughout the universe.

WHERE DOES HE COME FROM?

The Planet Private where all the good spies in the universe comes from. Dr. Cord and Jean Dungari, Dooley’s parents, run this Planet. He has been deployed to Earth by his parents to protect it from evil and injustice.

HOW DOES DOOLEY DO THIS?
Dooley is a master of disguise, and in lighting fast hair styling form has the ability to shape-shift his dreadlocks, into a veil, airplane wings, a fireman’s helmet, or any object he believes will disguise and/or support his mission. For example, if Dooley is on an adventure on the Titanic, he might twist his hair into a wetsuit.

WHAT DOES DOOLEY DO WHEN HE’S NOT CRIME SOLVING?
Dooley’s alias is an ice cream cart vendor, in City Park USA. Dooley’s better known around the neighborhood as the “Ice Cream Cart Kid.” Dooley attracts customers from all around (from street bums to Donald Trump) with his warm spirit, myriad of impersonations, and artistic lightning fast sculpting of ice cream scoops (like his disguises, he can shape ice cream into anything, from flowers, cars, and even a toupee for a balding man). The interior of the ice cream cart is a control center/hovercraft with universal satellite viewing screens, CGI intruder motion detectors, and a basketball “killer-crossover” hovercraft control panel (Dooley’s dribbling controls the ship). This vehicle takes him to any and all parts of the universe via a manhole cover.

DOES DOOLEY GO TO SCHOOL?
Dooley’s ice cream artistry lands him a scholarship to the City Park High School of Performing Arts, where he’s an “artistic/theatrical expression” major (a perfect place for Dooley to work on his disguises and sculpting). There he interacts with a plethora of artists, with talents ranging from hip hop to ballet, beatnik jazz to classical Beethoven, spoken word artist to brash film students. The kids often work on their art in the park.

DOES DOOLEY HAVE A BEST FRIEND?
Yes, his best friend, Gwendolyn “GG” Gumshoe. GG is a scientific mastermind, but her quick sassy wit, sometimes leads her in to trouble. Though frustrated by her carefree friend, she truly loves him, and together they make the perfect crime fighting team.

WHO DOES DOOLEY INVESTIGATE?
Usually Fallen Starson flunkies of the “Black Hole Crimes Syndicate” motivate crimes. This group deploys heresies around the world that attempt at baffling young detectives ( see storylines).

SO EXPLAIN THE SHOW “DOOLEY DUNGARI”

First and foremost it's a character driven, crime solving, action, comedic cartoon.
The stories always focus on a thoughtful story spine. Dooley finding a missing cat in a tree isn’t the ideal mystery. Dooley can find a cat, but the story must incite a series of unexpected events. For example, the missing cat would be found helpless in the middle of an intense game of dodge ball in the park between the senior citizens and kids. Dooley contorts through the projectiles, and saves the cat. Dooley worries about the cat, while GG finds a note in its collar-a clue that reads…

“To the artful dodger, stretch your hands out, and meet me at that time of the big teller”.

Dooley makes an airplane sound and his hair blows in the wind-with the cat perching on top of his hair.

GG says (as quickly as possible while looking at her watch),
“Dodger, hot dogs…no, no-dodge nasty food, figure head, Oliver Twist, bad teeth, big stank breath…Uncle Ben. Ah ha, meet me in London, England at Big Ben at 3:15. Let’s bounce my Bizzle Dizzle!”

Dooley and GG jump into ice cream cart and end up in London to meet the agent “British Action Super Agent” or “BASA” for short (a cross between John Snead and James Bond). The three investigate the mystery of the Queen’s missing crown.

Secondly, it’s a comedy.
We have to remember the setting-inner City Park USA, creating infinite comedic interaction with the people (from the cab driver, to the park bums, to the street pantomime) and unexpected occurrences. For example, Dooley may need a ride to the waterfront (just in case his ice cream cart has a flat tire) to solve the mystery in the episode “Fruit for a Week.” He and GG flag down the character “Joe the Cabby”, a regular at the park, and tell him their predicament. Joe The Cabby would smile, and sarcastically respond in a New York cabby way, until receiving a stack of orange cream cicles (Joe is potbellied and robust, and his wife mandates a strict non-cholesterol diet, so the kids bribe him for favors with Dooley’s ice cream). While speeding the cab to the waterfront, Joe comments (while sucking on his ice cream ) “If youse ever need a ride out of state, I’m partial to Rocky Road, a scoop per mile!”

It’s an event.
The park institution serves as a meeting place for many individuals, so the show would also serve as an event. For example, Bill Gates may stop off at the ice cream cart for his favorite “Lemon Chocolate Swirl Fudge Ripple” Ice Cream. Dooley would sculpt it into the shape of computer software.
This reveals an out of control computer virus by arch nemesis Syrus Virus, which melts the sculpture. This turns into the story “Bill Gate’s And the Uncontrollable Computer Virus”.

Last but not least, it’s a kids’ show.
Therefore, kid characters promote empowerment. We also want to reveal the quality of the good-natured, artistic Dooley and the adult like intelligence of GG in solving crime mysteries.
MAIN CHARACTERS

DOOLEY DUNGARI-“THE ICE CREAM KID”
He is the teenage artistic genius with a heart of gold. Dooley has all of the attributes needed to evolve into a great crime solver, but he gets side tracked by creative moments, and acts of kindness.

DR. JEAN AND DR. CORD DUNGARI
Dr. Cord and Jean Dungari, Dooley’s parents, run Planet Private Eye. Dooley has been deployed to Earth by his parents to protect it from evil and injustice. (They constantly have Dooley under surveillance, and are ready to transport in a moments notice to show up for a parent meeting at his school.)

GWENDOLYN “GG” GUMSHOE
GG is nine-years-old, tiny but with the bravery of a lion and the intelligence of a college professor-which often gets her into trouble. GG’s brain moves the operation, but her sass creates havoc at the most inappropriate times. Dooley’s uses his creativity to get them out of these predicaments. Though often frustrated with Dooley’s aloofness, GG understands that together they create a perfect balance of brain and brawns.

FALLEN STARSON /THE BLACK HOLE CRIME SYNDICATE
Dooley’s arch nemesis and the leader of the Black Hole Crime Syndicate who deploys his heresies around the world that constantly keeps Dooley on the go (see storylines for syndicate members).
