When a man finds out he only has a few more weeks to live, he packs a suitcase and returns to his childhood village which was evacuated after the bombs fell on Japan. A love story allegorically told through the plant which bloomed in the radiated lands, the oleander.
Synopsis: Story based off of the lives of men and women who suffered from the lasting effects of radiation poisoning which became terminal decades after the bombs where dropped. Many of these men and women were children in neighboring towns and villages and moved to the United States to start over, never seeing their homes again. Old in age now, they decide to return to their homelands and spend the remaining days they have left in some of the most irradiated areas and relive the memories they once had to leave behind so abruptly.
