Synopsis: "What We Did That Summer" is a coming-of-age adventure drama set in the mid-1990s. It tells the story of three 12 year-old boys named Zach, Mike, and Jimmy, who accidentally get lost in the woods during a camping trip. The boys all have their personal differences that they must put aside in order to survive the ordeal of getting home. In addition to the physical dangers that get in their way, the boys also have to conquer emotional ones as well while also learning about the value of true friendship and growing up.

Written along the lines of "The Breakfast Club" and "Stand By Me", "What We Did That Summer" has a chance to really connect with audiences, especially because of the relationships between the main characters, as well as the situations they get into. Additionally, "What We Did That Summer" can really be relevant with the recent popularity of childhood adventure movies and shows such as "Stranger Things" and "IT". Given what I've said, I hope that Amazon Studios finds this to be a project they'd be willing to invest in for a potential future film.

    Creative Notes:
This is the third draft of the screenplay. The two previous drafts were long (especially for a drama) and they weren't structured all that well.
