A real estate agent’s vow to give up sex and cure her chronic case of "Wrong Men-itis" wavers when an enigmatic new client sweeps her off her feet…and into bed. Bridget Jones' Diary meets Waiting to Exhale…with added drama and suspense.
Synopsis: Based on the award-winning novel The Bum Magnet by K.L. Brady (Simon & Schuster, March 2011)

Real estate agent Charisse Tyson seems to have it all-a great job, a dream car, and a McMansion in high-and-mightyville. Everything in her life is just right...except the Mister. While lamenting the break-up with her most recent "the one" during a holiday meltdown, she realizes she has a type when it comes to men—players, players, and more players.

There was Lamar, the hazel-eyed Adonis who sowed more wild oats than Quaker . . . Sean, an expert at juggling relationships . . . Marcus, whose lips wandered as often as his eyes . . . and others, too. A timely magazine article motivates her to swear off men and examine the complex roots of her romantic fiascos.

Just as she vows to dump her emotional baggage, Charisse meets house-hunting client Dwayne Gibson. There's no way she can resist his seductive smile, so she falls for him—heels over head. Before she can catch her breath, a hunky FBI agent literally crashes into her life, bearing life-altering secrets about her past and present that threaten to turn her world upside down.

When her mother's sudden illness forces a long-stalled trip to home North Carolina, Charisse is forced to confront a twenty-seven-year-old secret that may hold the key to curing her bum magnetism. But will she learn the lesson in time to pick the right "the one"?

Charisse soon discovers that her choices in men reflect something more than a penchant for good looks, great sex, and bad judgment.

    Creative Notes:
I went in and fixed several typos I found in the fifth version. I also made a change that makes more sense to me, given Charisse's traumatic reaction to it. The rape that almost happened when she thirteen actually happens.
I liked the idea of Kevin trying to save her and not quite succeeding which made him into an FBI agent. But y'know, it may not be what you ultimately want.
