Titus is more real in this one. He's a guy that I'm not sure I would like - he's stubborn, he's self-absorbed. But, he isn't supposed to be a perfect character. He is flawed. He makes mistakes but he is the only hope for Rome in this story. He is strong, brave and has a lot of heart.

The action scenes are very descriptive and exciting. The elephants reminded me of one of the old westerns. Of course, the characters used swords instead of guns, but there was the same kind of energy and emotion. A good guy trying to stop the bad guys and get the girl. It's an interesting twist on an old formula that almost always works.
