About

I've been writing as a hobby for years but this is the first time I've done anything with my work. I have a very special friend to thank for giving me a swift kick in the butt and making me submit my work for other people to see.

This script was a new and interesting twist on some old horror staples. The idea of a vampire creating Rabid humans is pretty awesome, it gives you a new creature to fear! Always a good thing in the Horror genre. The story kept me guessing through out trying to figure out exactly what was going on.

Unfortunately once I got to the end I felt a little underwhelmed, it felt like it was building to a massive finale but just sort of stopped. Also I wasn't quite sure who I was supposed to be rooting for, there didn't seem to be a true protagonist I could get behind.

These are all just first draft issues that can be reminded. The premise is solid and with a little tweaking this will be a great story!

I have read this script several times and every time it never fails to make me burst out laughing.

I love the fact that the heroes are a group of washed up teachers! Usually you have the plucky teenagers saving the town from impeding doom, it's refreshing to see heroes emerge from a group that you wouldn't normally expect.

JANE: I can’t believe you all. Teaching should be your passion!

EUGENE: Phhhhft.

The fact that these characters are so far out of there element provides great comic moments.

*spoiler*

The scene in which Carl gets bitten and Eugene smacks him the head before he turns! Never fails to make me laugh!

CARL: I’m not crazy yet, you asshole!

FRANK: I’m sorry, this is all new to me!

Giggling right now.

A few things that could use improvement.

It seems like they just decide "Hey, let's kill zombies!" Which in my world makes total sense, but in the "real world" it would seem like you would just want to call the cops and get the hell out. Maybe making the threat more dire, leaving no time to get anyone else involved, would help out.

Also the B-story felt a little flat, like there really wasn't one.

But despite these small issues, the story is extremely funny and exciting! I would love to see this movie on the big screen! I highly recommend it!

Excellent work Heather! Keep it up, I want to see more from you!
