About

European. I love writing because it takes you places. At least fictive-. It is also a fun way to exercise your mind.

I'm in general a believer in ambitious goals, because they help you to make choices that you later are glad you made.

Favorite writing music: Ace of Base

This review came about as a refreshing experiment: Swapping reviews and expressing what I as a critical studio reader might spontaneously think with the script in front of me.

Based on a ten page read.

The premise promises a morally compromising person who’ll be involved with a person I as a viewer would care for. Can't be much worse.

Your writing seems clean in general. I get the impression that you’re a person with clear thoughts, the kind who is good with children. That is a good quality for a storyteller. However, you build your story with cheap solutions and no originality. My general feeling while reading is “Oh my, I remember when I tried these basic rules for the first time”. Meaning, I get a feeling that you know the basics only and are desperate to hide that you’re new to this. To sell, and to impress a pro-reader, you will have to get rid of the clumsy solutions and get situations on paper to be excited about.

MINUTE BY MINUTE:
Title. This a story about a writer?
01. Narrates... what? Lost me. Had to start over.
01. Dialogue like from a movie from the 50s.
02. Why does he ask the waiter what to order?
First impression is that this is extremely pretentious
03. Bryan a retard?
04. How many times is he going to be sorry?
04. If they meet by coincidence when he is about to kill himself this won’t work.
05. Wait a second, I thought he was suicidal a minute ago.
05. And now they jump into a philosophic discussion. Are these robots?
05. First she doesn’t want to go home and then suddenly “please just take me there”. This suppose to be how you talk in a certain state of mind?
06. So he arrives to a fancy mansion, the girl vanishes up in smoke and then his apartment is modest. Awesome.
06. We deserve what we get, again. I get a spooky religious vibe now, as well.
06. The baseball talk feels a bit more authentic.
08. Flashback. 100% cliché. Based on what should anyone be interested?
Los Angeles 1941. Jesus. I need to take a break here... I’ll try to get back and at least make it to the tenth page.
09. More baseball
10. Yeah...

Based on a ten pages read.

The story structure might drop to one if I'd read further, you know the truth.

The story seems very positive and cuddly and I see this as an animation in front of me when I read. At least it has the tone right for that. The fact that you format like a Russian thief, makes the reader hate the experience.

The characters. They're probably supposed to be very simple to get this to work. Can't really be compared to movies written for an adult audience... Three stars max, for stories like this?

01 Good title.
02 Ups! Starts with a camera direction...
02 Long dialogue... that assumes I’m interested... says the story is long. Cliché opening... and more of what I assume to be a camera direction.
02 Narrator’s tone is alright.
03 Better thanks to the smooth dialogue.
04 You know you haven’t even bothered to format this how is expected of you, right?
05 Tone is lovely.
05 First action line in a scene: (In this scene, we see Johnny playing outside)
"Johnny plays."
08 Sympathetic relationship.
10. Exciting to see what will happen.
11. Yep, you bring it to the point. Excellent.

Well cut. Not totally convinced about the humor in clumsy characters.

Dhampira Video 3 - Teaser-Trailer

Pretty strong, except that it makes me fear that the whole movie explains the plot through the dialogue.

Close to loving it. Just this stuff moving by itself thing holds me back, over acting, too.
